This post written in installments over the last couple days and is still not complete.

I’ve been spending a lot of time on Pinterest lately – which is also another way to say I’ve been spending a lot of time doing nothing except looking at pretty things on the internet – which is another way to say I’ve spent a lot of time doing nothing. Of course, cheap we have to keep this in context – “doing nothing” is usually spent while I am nursing (Yay for the Pinterest app!) or have five minutes to myself without one or two children crawling all over me. I find it is a good way to turn my brain off and get inspiration to work on the house/garden. You can find me here if  you are also on Pinterest and want to know about my minor obsessions with owls, cystitis stripes, dresses and playhouses among other things. It makes me want to spend all of my time crafting in one form or another but I’m still determined to go to bed early every night until someone learns to sleep past 5 a.m. so crafting/reading/movie watching/spending time with my husband is at an absolute minimum these days.

Gardening, on the other hand, has taken center stage to all other non-child-related pursuits and the rest of this post was supposed to be about gardening because I’ve been writing that post for days but now it is past 8 o’clock and if I don’t go to bed I will cry.

But here is a preview – this is what our garden looked like on Sunday morning:

As of 8 p.m. last night it was planted! Every day it changes a bit which is why it is so hard to sit down and write a post. (No, wait – having children is what is making it so hard to sit down and write a post.)

I am single-handedly eating my way through the dandelions and rocks on the lawn and therefore cannot be left unsupervised!

More garden talk tomorrow.
