Photo by Chris Bolin who was a little too much fun to work with.
Well, buy information pills it’s all over but the crying. Except, of course, there is no crying. I must say I had a ton of fun and made a nice chunk of cash too (since I worked so many hours!) which will come in handy what with my desire to continue eating and have a roof over my head. Another perk was that I got to work with one of my closest friends. This photo was taken on the last day – right when I was ready to go home. I had been on park for two full days and it was starting to show but G and I couldn’t stop laughing. Earlier in the day we were at the Stampede Market and I saw a vendor selling an Adult/Baby toilet seat and almost turned inside out with excitement. The result was my carrying around a toilet seat for a while. I even tweeted about it (as @calgarystampede) and posted a photo. Yikes! The delerium really had set in but at the time it was the funniest thing ever. This is what my life has come to: toilet seats = excitement.
However, I’m glad it is over (although I believe I will continue to work for them and am already thinking of how we can make next year better) and am looking forward to getting back to a more normal schedule. I have a couple of interesting writing projects in the works and a small daughter to spend time with.
I think her first Stampede was a success too:
