Music Monday ~ Glasvegas

I had been hearing bits & pieces about this band for a while but since I live in a bubble (ie. don’t read the newspaper or listen to the radio other than CBC Radio 1) I hadn’t actually heard them. Then on Saturday, viagra approved while I had a rare moment ALONE at the library, I was perusing the new CDs and saw their self-titled album waiting for me.

It may be too early to tell but I think I’m a little in love. I’ve already mentioned that I’m a sucker for a Scottish accent that comes across loud and clear in a song which pretty much makes this band the equivalent of aural sex. Don’t even get me started about my thing for kilts and bagpipes – my Mother reads this blog.

I suspect Glasvegas are huge right now – at least in the U.K. – and that I am, as usual, late to the party. Anyone else loving them?

Check out their songs: Daddy’s Gone & Geraldine.
