I’m not even kidding.

It was crazy and loud and things got broken (will walk around the house taking pictures of the damage later). I was already grateful that we always park the car in the garage but as I walked to the train yesterday and saw all the pock marks on the cars along the way I was truly, truly grateful that the car was in the garage. Of course I what I was really grateful for was that Moira and I weren’t at the park or something – although that would have been silly since it was so cold out and the sky was so ominous looking.
I kept thinking: I feel like I’m under siege! And then I would remember my brother-in-law who is serving in Afganistan right now and goes to bed at night to the sound of real bombs and I would think: my life, ’tis charmed.
Still, storms are cool as long as your car is in the garage and the roof holds up.
