    Hi there.
You don’t know me, but I used to follow you on Diaryland (gasp!), and for some reason a post you made years and years ago popped into my head while I was out driving earlier this week (something about staying a safe distance back from the car in front of you – enough to see their back tires). In that brief moment I wondered what became of you as I faded out of Diaryland soon after. Serendipidously, today I was wandering around IG and noticed the name “meli-melo” which triggered a memory. Then I saw your profile pic and it was you! Congratulations on your beautiful family (and I see you’re still with “Mister” ), and I’m so very sorry to hear of your illness. I haven’t even been through your IG feed or blog, but I’m sure you’ve been living with as much beautiful grace as back in those Diaryland days (I was the “Nuclear Lieutenant”, btw – so embarrassing). The universe was prompting me to wave . I wish you health and wellness in all aspects. xo

Hi Melanie – I have been following you for quite a while; you are such an inspiration to me. I lost my Mom when I was four; she died of Non-Hodgkins lymphoma at 30 years of age, back in the 60s. I never thought that I would live past 30 myself. None of us know how long we have; I think often when I go out on the Deer Foot and leave my kids (now 8 and 5) with my husband; did I give them both an kiss and tell them that I loved them. This is all we can do. I also, when my daughter was one and two (she is 8 now), I used to write her letters in the event that anything ever happened to me; they were letters of advice for living a fulfilling life in the event that anything ever happened to me. I felt that this was something that I would have liked from my Mom. It is so awesome that you are sharing your thoughts (of who you are) and how much you love your children and husband. We never know when it’s our last day. I hope that you are okay with me following you and please let me know if you have any thoughts. Best Regards, Sharon
