After spending a lazy late afternoon eating homemade pizza and watching a couple episodes of the X Files the Mister and I felt the need to get out of the apartment and go for a walk. I suggested going to the river to look at the ice.

I’ve always been fascinated by ice. Looks like I’m not the only one…

We stopped by my nephew’s work to see if he was there. I was afraid to bother him if he was busy but both the Mister and the hostess at the door encouraged me to go over and say hi. The nephew gave me two hugs in the space of our five minute conversation – that made me feel good.
Now I’m home drinking warm milk and eating dark chocolate.

Beautiful pictures.
I walk over there every tuesday for knitting, and always stop to look at the frozen river. On a sunday during the day we walked by the river, and stopped to listen to the ice crack, and watch the water move. These are great photos, you’ve captured so much of the beauty of the river!
Take care,
Anne
